Welcome to the Class of 1965 Home Page

Princeton's first Class web site, established in 1994.

Steve and Amy Unfried invite Classmates, spouses and significant others to join them in Jackson, Wyoming, from Sunday, June 22, to Wednesday, June 25, for a mini-reunion with a conservation theme. June is a great time to see our wildlife (and their newborns) in one of the most intact ecosystems in the temperate world. Jackson Hole is at the epicenter of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, an area about twice the size of Switzerland. In addition to diverse and abundant wildlife, there is plenty of hiking, biking, fishing, rafting, wildflower viewing, art and even shopping. Everyone should also consider coming earlier and/or staying later, particularly to spend 3-4 days touring Yellowstone National Park (check off "Pre and Post Mini Reunion Information" on the Registration Form to receive more information about these opportunities).

(1) To reserve your place, download the registration form (MS Word) and return it to Dick Brown at the address shown (note that there are deadlines for signing up for certain activities). Please send this back promptly. Although the Registration Form shows nominal costs you do not need to send money now; we will send you an invoice once we know the final costs, probably in mid to late March. If you must cancel after you receive and pay the invoice, we will refund your payment less any charges for which we cannot receive a refund from providers.

(2) Program Summary (MS Word)

(3) Special Event Description (MS Word) explaining the special events that will be scheduled based upon level of interest, and a list of alternative, self-directed activities

(4) Frequently Asked Questions (MS Word) hotels, airlines, car rentals, National Park passes, clothing, climate and environment, medical services, restaurants. Also included are a list of Available Activities and providers with contact information.

PROCESS: Please read through the Program Summary, FAQ and Special Events Description to determine which events interest you (we strongly recommend that you sign up for the Monday morning wildlife expedition as that will give you a good general introduction to the area). Fill out the Registration Form and mail or email it to Dick Brown. Call Alpenhof to make your hotel reservations. Dick will make arrangements with the Wildlife Expeditions and Rafting providers and with the National Museum of Wildlife Art based on your responses. Remember that certain events have sign up deadlines so please get your Registration in as soon as possible. Call or email Dick Brown with any questions about the Mini Reunion; (h) 215 247 4433; (w) 856 968 2407; (home email) richard@alumni.princeton.edu; (work email) rlbrown@drpa.org.

Note from Steve about Conservation Organizations: Amy and I feel very fortunate to live here and try to do what we can to protect our special wildlife and wilderness. There are many conservation organizations doing good work out here, but we have been most involved with those listed below. You may wish to browse their websites for information on the national, regional and local issues affecting the Yellowstone ecosystem.

Mini-Reunion in Napa Valley, October 11-14, 2007

On August 8, 2007, the Class held a mini-Reunion in Chicago. The event including wine and dinner was organized by Clif Fenton and Chuck Michod and was held at the Pritzger Pavilion in Grant Park. The Grant Park Orchestra featuring Christian Tetzlaff, one of the most important violinists of this generation, played selections from Beethoven and Tchaikovsky. Despite a light drizzle we had a good turnout. Pictures will follow in the PAW this fall. Special thanks to Clif and Chuck for making it all happen. We hope to do other events in Chicago in the future.--Dick Woodbridge
